Gynocracy
- part 1

George Hammond often asked himself how he could have passed from being a normal free man to a slave under the control of his wife and his step-daughter. He was now 50 years old and could remember everything of the world of his childhood and adolescence. In his memories the world had been a nice place for both men and women. The balance of power was just a little bending towards the male gender but females had earned a lot of civil rights and social consideration. All that started to change when George was 11. That was when women gained the telepathic powers that would change the world forever.
That event had sparked a third world war as many men simply could
not accept the changes that had to be made to accommodate the practical
realities of the new situation. Not all
men turned to the side of these rebel terrorists. Not all women were without sympathy for
them. But the result was that the planet
was ravaged as considerable numbers of men from almost all the nations of the
world fought violently to resist people who agreed with these changes being put
into power. There were a lot of innocent
victims. Of course, in the end, women
won. Again, how could they not? Capture one man and they knew everything he
knew. Round up those he knew about and
any woman would in turn learn everything they knew. Women could learn their strategies and
tactics and use them against them. A lot
of men were at least smart enough to know that the conclusion was
inevitable. The days of rule by physical
strength and brute force aggression were over.
The war was devastating but quick and the immediate result of it was a
deep disgust for male political and economical systems and the male mentality
that had caused such a completely unnecessary war of which the results were
inevitable to begin with.
There were old traditions and ideas that both women and men had
been indoctrinated out of, of course. So
the changes were one step at a time. But
they slowly advanced towards a matriarchal society where young boys were not raised
to think themselves superior to girls and women. If anything, they were raised to think the
opposite, that females were superior, because it was true. It led to a semi-communistic system where the
quest for political power was not the object of desire of males because it was
in the hands of females. In a few years a non-violent world revolution led
gradually women to the power in almost all the main and industrialized
countries, men were gradually deprived of any political power and forced to a
second role in society, and soon methods were developed to curb the male
impulse to launch revolutions by distracting them with other pressing needs that
curbed their capacity to think clearly.
There was a new order, with a resulting new culture, new morality, new
political and economical system.
On a theoretical level, it seemed wonderful for women and
men. It all seemed wonderful to George as
a reality- until he turned 18.
